NFPA is an international nonprofit that reduces the burden of fire and other hazards on quality of life by providing and advocating consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education. The world's leading advocate of fire prevention and an authoritative source on public safety, NFPA develops, publishes, and disseminates more than 300 consensus codes and standards intended to minimize the possibility and effects of fire and other risks.
AFSA comprises fire sprinkler contractors, industry suppliers and code officials as well as representatives from associated organizations and individuals involved with or affected by fire sprinkler issues. The association works frequently with code officials on all levels to determine the effects decisions and proposed changes will have on our industry. The organization seeks to provide educational opportunities for all those involved in fire safety.
NFSA is known as “the voice of the fire sprinkler industry”. It is also the industry's premier resource for training and education. No other organization provides as many training opportunities, in as many sprinkler related subjects, taught by well-known sprinkler industry leaders. NFSA's seminars are approved in most states for CEUs for building and fire officials as well as licensure recertification accreditation and NICET credits.
