American Fire provided complete fire suppression system design, material, and commissioning services for a new Austal ship building in Mobile, Alabama. Austal is a global defense prime contractor and a designer and manufacturer of defense and commercial ships. For more than 27 years Austal has been a leader in the design, construction and maintenance of revolutionary ships for governments, navies and ferry operators around the world. More than 255 vessels have been delivered in that time.
American Fire installed numerous high-challenge wet sprinkler systems in a challenging building where the roof deck height exceeded 100 feet. Our experienced team overcame many obstacles to coordinate the successful design and installation on this specialized fire suppression challenge.
